How to get autoreply using a template to work?

I followed the instructions for using a template to autoreply to certain
incoming messages. The reply is created from the template and goes to the
outbox - but without any addressee, which should be picked up automatically
from the incoming mail it is replying to. What more do I have to do? (Note:
this is not for out-of-office use but for replyig to messages sent to
specific email addresses.)

Outlook 2003 at home with no exchange server and Outlook 2002 at work with an
exchange server.

I have just upgraded from Outlook Express at home which sent automatic
messages perfectly using the same rule; now I have to use a template and not
a simple text file and it doesn't work.

In case of Exchange; make sure you are allowed to send out autoresponses to
the Internet.
