how to get a 'good' PDF document from a Word document

D

Daniel

Hi everybody.

I have this Word document containing many tables and images (good quality
..jpg images inserted into the document, and adjusted in size in Word).

When I create a PDF doc using Adobe Acrobat 5, well, the quality of the
document is OK except for the pictures, which are of a variable and lousy
quality.

I have tried many different settings, but didn't get any proper result.

What tricks or rules or shoud I follow to get the best possible quality?
What should be the settings of Acrobat / Distiller?

the document I am referring to is to be both displayed on any PC or Laptop
and printed.

Anyone ?

many thanks in advance for your kind help.
Best regards,
Daniel

Just a wild guess here, but you might start with the current version of
Acrobat. You're two full versions behind.

The best quality may be Press Quality, too.

Suzanne, Missmarlag, Dan,

Thank you so much for your time and kind help.
Indeed, the Hi Quality option gave me a much better result. I will try now
the "press quality" setting.

I'm taking the same step after the new year. I belong to a non-profit group.
I want the ability to create forms with .pdf files that can be filled out
and emailed back. New year = new budget. ;-)
