how to generate a good sdi file?

Hi

I have some problems to generate a working sdi file

After I finished my image configuration, I did following steps:

1) Boot from Windows XPE C
2) mapped networkdriv
3) created a new sdi file (sdimgr /new Z:\image.sdi
4) then read my C partition (sdimgr Z:\image.sdi /readpart:C:

I thought that this should be all. I tried to plug this image over sdi2hd to a target device. This did not work
I tried the same over sdimgr /writedisk and that did not work because there was no blob (whatever that is).
sdimgr /writepart was ok

Then I created a new image but I created a blob over /createdisk. Then i got a double sized sdi file
that could be deployed over sdi2hd but that was not bootable.

Please give me some help. It would be the best if you could write for me step for step what is to do

Pleas
Thank

Tassos,

Not really sure why you are multiplying your posts but here is what you are looking for: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/e...ngrun-timeimageusingsdidataextractiontool.asp.
I'd suggest you to read more about SDI in XPe docs to get familiar with its blob and etc. Otherwise, you may get more problems on this route.
That may also be helpful to you to understand your deployment process.
