So i opened the microsoft word document through my email. I typed and then i
"save" it, but i did not "save as" the document. then i closed it. how do i
open the file that i saved because i did not really save it with a location?
like when i open the same file from my email again, it says file[2], and the
first time was blah[1]. how can i open file[1] again?

If you didn't save it to your hard drive, nothing was saved. Before
you edit the attachment, save it to the hard drive.

there is no temporary saving? because the 2nd time i opened the file, it
title was file[2]. so if its file[2] and not file[1], doesnt that mean like
file[1] is still somewehre?

Not necessarily. You can try the following directions but I would suggest
you get into the habit of saving your email attachments to your hard drive
before editing them.
