How to find out if a WLAN client is able to use WPA2 ?

Assume I have a WLAN Stick or a built-in WLAN in a Notebook.

How can I find out (without trial and error) if this WLAN Client (not the AP)
is able to use WPA2 (not only WPA) ?

Figure out what hardware you have and see if the drivers available for it
(and your particular OS) can do WPA2.

( ie: RTFM. ;-) )

Check the documentation for the network adapter.

Hi
Windows gets the Security information from the Wireless card's Drivers. If
your version of Windows is WPA2 capable and the card supports WPA2 it should
appear as an option when you choose the card's security.
Please note that some Wireless Vendors' might use terms like WPA-AES. If you
have a choice with AES that is the vendors rendition of WPA2.
