How to find both video card and motherboard names?

I've received "error caused by a video device driver", so I need to install
the most current driver for my video card. Microsoft update shows that I
currently already have all updates. How/where do I find both the
name/identity of my video card & my motherboard and what will they be called
at that location?

I've received the printout from the Belarc Advisor advisor.exe. I've scanned
the printout & do not see the verbiage "Video Card" or "Motherboard". Please
tell me which words on the printout correspond to the item names I’m trying
to find. Sorry for my stupidity.

Hi

On my Belarc report, the Motherboard is called the "Main Circuit Board" and the Video Card is listed under the "Display" section.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you loads. I really like that report format/info.. Speaking in
generalities, just wish that words were consistent throughout areas like:
main circuit board vs motherboard, video card vs graphics, etc.. It would
make it easier for us dummies.

You're welcome.

I agree about keeping the component names as standard. This would save everyone a lot of headaches.

Enjoy. :)
