how to export messages from outlook to a new computer

I bought a new computer and want to keep some of the messages from the old
computer for future reference. I was able to export/import my contacts with
ease following Outlook help instructions, but find no info on this issue.
Can anyone advise me on this?

Copy the pst-file from the old to the new computer and connect to it by
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File... You can set it as the default delivery
location by Tools-> E-mail Accounts-> button Next-> dropdownlist Default
Delivery Location.
