How to export data from personal calendar to default calendar

I've just installed a new hard drive, backed up all my outlook data on my c:
drive and exported it my f: drive. Things didn't open smoothly, and
eventually I managed to import all my old emails into a personal folder. So
far so good.

I now have CONTACTS in a Personal folder, and CALENDAR in the same personal
folder.

How do I get the information from those files into the New Default CONTACTS
and CALENDAR?

I need this because I sync with my mobile phone and Creative Zen, and those
devices only sync with the Default folders.

As a sidebar, what is the filetype ???.* of the calendar and contacts file?
And where does it reside?

Thank you

I don't know where your old Personal Folders file (file has a PST extension)
but once you find it, open it with the File menu > Open > Outlook Data File
command then drag/drop the data you want from the old folders to the new
ones

Just tried it, and that's what I've done twice before :) So I've now got
CALENDAR which is the default one with administrative permission needed, and
several CALENDAR IN PERSONAL FOLDER which are the ones I want, as they have
the data in. I can access them from within outlook, just by clicking on the
check box, so they sit on top. But the problem is when I sync with my
devices, they default to the default calendar and contacts.

So the question again is, how do I copy the data to the default
calendar/Contacts, or how do I replace them?

Thank you :)

Can you just drag/drop the data from the folder, not the folder itself?

Brian: very interesting, and helpful for the future. I had a go at it, and
succeeded in creating yet another personal folder. :-(

So far I've managed to select and paste from these personal folders, all my
emails and all my contacts (just managed that one :)

And from the poster up above I can drag every single individual entry in the
calendar (70 in total!) but wondered if there was a way of copying the data
from one calendar to another.

Next time I'll use your method - I've saved the whole web page to make sure.

Most folders let you select all the entries in it with CTRL-A, but not the
Calendar, unless you switch to a list view, like By Category. Then CTRL-A
will let you select everything so that you can click-and-drag to the other
Calendar.

Fan-bloody-tastic :))))

List view, select all, drag and drop worked a treat! Can now sync my devices.

Now if you can only tell me where to find Mozilla passwords to copy from one
drive to another I'd be in hog heaven :))))

Thank you so much

Hi :)

I have much the same problem; I know I'm missing something, but how do you
view the Calendar in List view? I don't see an option to do that.

Thanks in advance.

Just about any view other than "Day/Week/Month" are list views. I use "By
Category: and "Active Appointments" most often.
