How to easily change the ip address back and forth?

I use the same laptop at home and at work, at home I want to set the
network to automatically obtain an IP address from my router, but at
work, I have to change to IP address, subnet mask,DNS server to a
specific ip. I'm tired of doing this by hand every day. Is there a
simple way to switch back and forth between automatic and specific ip?
is there a program that does this?

If the office doesn't use DHCP then you can use the alternate configuration
feature.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283676

If the office uses DHCP then you may need a reservation for your computer
setup on the DHCP server.

http://technet2.microsoft.com/Windo...3f92-4eac-ba00-8e93feaafe861033.mspx?mfr=true

If you need different DNS settings than the rest of the computers on the
network then you will need 3rd party software to switch network
configurations. A reservation only reserves the IP address. the rest of the
TCP/IP settings will come from the DHCP server. I see several possibilities
here:

Thank you very much, I read the article and made it work using the
netsh command.
