how to display folder size in W2K Explorer?

I am trying to verify the size of folders that I am
copying from one computer to another, so it would be
useful to know the total size of the folder. How do I
make W2K calculate and display the folder size in the Size
column in the W2K Windows Explorer? I know you could do
this in W95 ages ago, but when I looked for help on this
for W2K I found nothing. The size column is displayed but
it shows nothing for folders - only file size is displayed.

Thanks!

Hi

As long as you want to have the size for the current folder only (not including
any subfolders), in the menu bar, select:

View\Status Bar

and you will see the size down to the right.

To make it permanent, you might need to go to Tools\Folder Options... and under
the View tab, select the "Like Current Folder" button.
