Eric

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to disable the bluetooth adapter
[USB] without unpluging this device?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Device Manager...
Fn + F2 on my Dell Laptop. But that shortcut also disables the
wireless. Oops.

I'm taking it that unplug is not an option. I would have guessed all
usb items are plug and play, but not having experience with a plug in
bluetooth (mines built into my laptop) then I can only guess.

Big Al,

That is controllable in the BIOS. It can be set to not disable the wireless
there...

I don't use it but I'll look for the check of it. Thanks.
I have blue tooth mouse and wireless network. And I can't live
without out one or the other... But, who knows what tomorrow is.

But do you have a bluetooth keyboard. If you do and disable the bluetooth
receiver, you won't be able to boot he PC when you will get the infamous
error message:

Keyboard failure.

Press F1 to continue.

No I own a laptop. Bluetooth was there for a headset/mic and mouse.
I found the headset too cumbersome/garbled and just use the mouse now.
