How to disable keyboard shortcut

When typing on my MS wireless keyboard I very often hit a combination of
keys that immediately shuts down my email program, so I lose all that I have
typed. On two occasions I have seen a small window appear asking if I
really wanted to close the page that I was on, or words to that effect.
When I was typing I wasn't looking at the screen so I'm sure that the
message appeared with 'yes' highlighted and during my typing I hit 'enter'
telling it to close the page. Does someone know what the shortcut might be
that I am activating and how I can disable it? TIA, Dick

Try Alt+F4 and see if it does the same.
