how to disable integrated graphics

dan

I am upgrading my hp vectra computer to a better
graphics card and I was told I need to "disable the
on board graphics controllers or change the graphics
adapter priority in the BIOS, CMOS or hardware setup",
(because my original graphics are built into the
motherboard.) I am upgrading to a GeForce FX 5200, 128MB
DDR RAM cinematic 3d graphics card.
How do I disable the old graphics or change the
priority, or when can i find step by step instructions?
thank you in advance for any help...
( the built in graphics are MATROX,MGA-G100A-E,9846KU207 )

You go into the BIOS and change it. Most computers tell you to hit the DEL
key when booting to get into the BIOS setup screens. Check your owner's
manual.
