How to delete recovered folder?

S

Steve

What I belive to be a recovered folder called "Folder 8082"
appeared in my inbox several moths ago. I have tried
several different times and ways to delete this folder but
when I make the attempt I get the following warning
message:

"Unable to delete this folder. Right click the folder and
then click properties to check your permissions for the
folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to
change your permissions."

I am logged in as the administrator. The only policy
information I can see is under the tab Auto-Archive :
"The Administrator has not set retention policies."

The administration tab is greyed out except for 'Initial
view on folder.'

Further, If I try to delete individual mail messages in
this folder, I receive the warning: "The messaging
interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook."

Any ideas from anyone?

Next stop, Mozilla.

Maybe the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst) will fix it. Did you right click on the
folder and remove the Read only attribute? Or--go to Help on menu and do a
Detect and Repair.

Mary,
Thanks for the reply. I ran the Inbox repair tool and
the same message appears when I try to delete the folder.
When I right click I get the Tabs: General, Home Page,
Auto-Archive, Administartion and Forms. Right clicking on
the folder does not give me a tab with the status of the
folder - I'm not even sure if this is a read-only folder.
I have even located the folder in Windows Explorer and
deleted it there - It still shows up in Outlook.
Any other ideas?

Steve
