How to delete photos without multiplying them

I have a problem deleting picturs from my picture it files. Insteal of
deleting it creates additional copies, some as many as 80 copies of the same
picture. I habe no idea how o get rid of the extra photos.......

This comes from the hand not being as steady as one would want (dragging
to the Recycle Bin, yes?). First, turn down the mouse sensitivity in
the Mouse Control Panel applet. Then change the way you delete. Select
files and then right-click on the selection and choose Delete. Or
select files and then use File>Delete.

To select multiple files that are contiguous, left-click on the first of
the series and hold down the Shift key. Left-click on the last of the
series and all the files in-between (and the first and last) will be
selected.

To select multiple files that are not contiguous, hold down the Ctrl key
as you are selecting.
