How to delete name and password?

A site I sometimes sign onto at a friend's house using a login name
and password is now remembering both and signing in automatically each
time the link in Favorites is clicked on. Even though I've cleared
all entries through Tools -> Internet Options -> Content tab ->
Personal Information -> AutoComplete button -> Clear Passwords button
and using AutoWhat?, the site still logs on automatically.

Is there any way to delete the login name and password from program
memory permanently so it once more asks for name and password on every
login to this site?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,
It sounds like the site/page had a "Remember me" or "Log me in
automatically" checkbox. Visit the site from that computer, find and uncheck
the box then look for a Logoff/logout button or link instead of just closing
the page. You may have to delete any cookies from that site.

Another possibility... Visit the site, type the first letter of the username
in the field then (if given a chance) select the username in the drop-down
list (just put the pointer on it) and hit the Delete key.

Hope this helps,
Don

Thanks very much, Don. Deleting the cookie did the job. Don't know
why I didn't think of that.
