how to create a search type database

I am trying to create a database where the user inputs a value such as a part
number into a text box. After the user hits enter a different page opens that
displays the complete listing on the part the user is searching for. I was
trying to place two other text boxes on the first page also so if the user
doesn't know the part number they have two other ways to search for the same
information. Also after the complete listing on the part is diplayed I was
trying to create a button to open an update page to change quanities and add
other important information.

I know this is alot and I am not to good with access. I have been using
Excel. If there is no easy answer or is there a website I can look on to
answer my question?

It is beyond simple. There is actually a wizard that will do it for you.
With the wizard turned on (the magic wand icon) use either a combo box or a
list box to find your record. Experiment a bit, and you'll have what you
want.
