How to Copy Calendar and Contacts to another Computer

Hello,

I want to copy all my Calendar and Contacts from my home computer (using
Windows Vista), to my work computer (using Win XP).. Which files should I
copy or how should I do it? I tried copying the outlook.pst file (about 120
mb long), but it only copied the e-mail folders..

Then there's something odd because the pst file contains ALL your Outlook
data, emails, calendar, contacts, tasks, journal, notes....

The method of restoring I used was simply to copy the outlook.pst file into
the new computer and that was it, I didn't even close the Outlook program on
the new computer while doing it I think!

I took a look at your URL's but saw nothing about copying (or restoring) my
Calendar and Contacts.. Please help me yourself if possible to accomplish
this..!

WHERE on the new computer? It can make a difference. You should avoid
placing it in the folder where Outlook creates PSTs by default so that you
don't run the risk of overwriting a PST of the same name that is already
there. Doing so can, at best, confuse Outlook and, at worst, ruin your
data, especially if you're doing this with Outlook open. There's nothing
magical about the folder holding a PST and placing one in the default folder
doesn't automatically allow Outlook to see it.

Your contacts, calendar, email, tasks, notes, and all your other Outlook
data are kept in ONE file: the PST. The article Robert cites explains how
to back up and restore that one file so that ALL your Outlook data is saved
and can be recovered.
