How to convert ntfs to fat32

I am using 40 gb hard disk, with four partions 10 gb each,
my primary partion is ntfs with windows 2000 professional
os. now i want to convert my primary partion from ntfs to
fat32 or format my primary partion.

There's no way without buying 3rd party software. Most of the
partitioning programs out there now will do this pretty easily.
Still, you'd want to back up your crucial files in case something goes
sideways.
