How to convert a graph into Powerpoint objects, so I can edit it?

In PPT 2003 I could convert a graph into "Powerpoint objects" by "ungrouping"
it. That way I could edit and change it "manually". How can I do this in
PPT2007? I tried all kinds of copying and pasting, nothing seems to work...

CB,
You should paste as EMF or WMF using paste special. Then ungroup. I cannot
test it here but I do believe you cannot ungroup to the degree PPT 2003
allowed. Hopefully someone else will confirm.

Luc,

I was going to reply to this - but I did a test first :)

..... I could not get the graph to either ungroup - or if I pasted special (I
tried all the vector formats) - then the 'graph' changed to nothing like the
original graph when pasted - so on initial inspection - it looks like a
bug - but will need more testing

I can confirm.

Copy or cut the chart, choose Paste Special on the Home tab, and paste as
EMF or WMF. Then ungroup twice.

Tickmarks cannot be further ungrouped -- they'll act as one object.
Gridlines also work this way. You can't get at an individual tickmark or
gridline.
