how to configure 2nd hd

i installed,formatted and partitioned my 2nd hd in order to use it as
mirrored backup.when attempting to implement the sofware program i get an
error that sez unable to locate destination hd on 2nd ide master channel.the
drive appears in device manager and disk management and system info. shows no
issues. help! ralph loudin

Device manager and disk management are not going to show if the drive is 2nd
ide master.
How does the drive show in the Bios?

What do you propose to use to impliment the mirror raid?

raid doesn't work on ide. you need sata for that

Bull, you really should learn a couple basic things about PC's before
posting. Look up IDE RAID for more basic info.
