How to completely remove MSN Messenger from computer

S

Shirley Azvedo

Had MSN as my carrier and installed MSN Messenger. Want to get rid of MSN
as my carrier but still have MSN Messenger. Will I have to completely get
rid of MSN Messenger and reinstall it in my new ISP? Will I have to get a
hotmail address for MSN Messenger, in the new ISP, or will I still use the
same old address, which is a msn.com address?

Greetings Shirley,

Assuming you had MSN 8 or MSN 9 installed, you can simply uninstall it by clicking Start,
Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, click MSN and then click the Change/Remove button.
Depending on version installed, MSN Messenger may or may not remain. If it does not, you can
simply reinstall it from:
http://messenger.msn.com/Download

As well, you can continue using your @msn.com address for Messenger (and no, you won't have
to pay to do so).
