How to clean a minolta dimage scan elite 5400 ???

Hi,
I have gotten dust in the scanner, or so I think....
Every scan now have a rather large, out of focus, dust thread, in the
middle of the upper part of the image.
Every image (regardless of frame position) has this in the exact same
position.
I cant figure out how this is even possible since the scanner only have
one row of ccd.
Can the dust be in the lamp side? What IS the lamp-side? Is it on the
right side when facing the front?

I have tried blowing with compressed air in every opening I see after
having removed the casing. No change whatsoever...
Also there is a small mirror on the left side that can be lifted if one
loosens a screw. I did lift that carefully and blowed under it. Still
no change.

Any suggestions or insights would be appreciated !

PS this is the original model, the one that alledgedly have an ordinary
lamp, not a led.

To my mind it cannot be dust in the scanner if it shows up in one spot only. It
would have to move with the film holder if it is only in one part of the image.
A stupid question: Are you completely sure it isn't somthing on the holder and
it isn't on the film itself?

Very strange indeed!!

Thenks for the reply!
The dust thread showed up in exactly the same position regardless of
frame position (1-4).
I agree that it shouldnt be possible ! And it isnt.....
The reason the dust showed up in the same place in images regardless of
frame position was that it was in the camera!
I cant belive I didnt think of that directly.
All the slides where taken at the same time and apparently there was a
dust thread near the focus point inside the camera.
At least I have a very clean scanner now !

That makes it real again! I found it highly unrealistic for the 'dust' to be
inside the scanner.
