How to change NTFS partition %

B

Bob

I have a problem with windows2000. The cd is lost. I want to change the
petition size from 100% to ? so I can create a dos boot partition for
another os. Can you advise on how to do this. I tried to work with fixdisk
but there doesn't seem to be way to adjust the size without deleting the
existing partition and loosing data?

Thanks,

Bob

If I understand correctly that you want to resize and/or relocate and/or
create partitions on a hard drive, one relatively inexpensive (and very
reliable) tool for doing this is PartitionMagic (powerquest.com). Such a
capability does not exist in any DOS or Windows utility tools, as far as
I know.

There may be freeware utilities that do such operations, but given the
potential for catastrophic disaster, I personally would go with a
widely-used, proven product.
