Ramesh said:Hi tysoh,
See if reinstalling the display drivers help. Also, if you're using an LCD monitor, make sure you're running in it's native resolution. Otherwise the display might look fuzzy.

(default) value should be %SystemRoot%\System32\main.cpl,9
of type REG_EXPAND_SZ
But I believe this might be an icon cache issue.

It's not a CPL file, but a namespace folder which lists all the font files in your system. When did this problem occur? Is this the case with all the user accounts or one in particular?

I have the same issue as Tysoh. I cannot fix the Fonts icon in control panel,
as it appears corrupt. I tired your suggestion and could not get either to
fix the problem.
Could not locate that specific .cpl icon while doing search either.

This
happended after upgrading to Vista. (was fine in XP Media Edition) Also,
all
my programs in the Start Menu..same thing. I did try rebuilding the icon
cache as well, but no such luck. Every other icon in Contol Panel is fine
with the exception of the Fonts. In Start-Programs all the native Windows
icons are fine. (Windows Meeting Space, Media Center, etc) The corrupt
icons
are all the other programs I had installed. Can't get the icons to change
to
folders or whatever it is supposed to be.
