How to change grub bootloader order

Why not try one (or more) of the live CD's? Basically they run off the
CD's without installing on your computer.

Of the popular ones only one won't fit onto a CD. (Suse).

For me (I know you're really answering POKO), it's not the same thing.

I _have_ tried live CDs, they're ok, but if I'm going to change I want to
try the OS as a properly installed one that I can get the feel of over a
period, like a proper installed OS

I agree. The main reason for trying the live versions is to get an
idea of whether you like the 'look and feel' of it and how well it
detects your hardware. That's what made me decide on Suse.
