how to change date in a memo

When creating a memo, Word will only allow the current date to be used. What if I want to write the memo a day before sending it out, & so I want tomorrow's date used..... no matter how often I save the memo, it still reverts to the current date. How can I change this? Thanks. Joa

Hi Joan,

The date updates to the current date because it's a field. Word has
fields that show the current date, or the date the document was first
created, or the date it was last saved or last printed. However, there
isn't any field that shows tomorrow's date or any arbitrary date.

The best thing for your purposes would be to convert the date to plain
text or just type in the date you want to show. That will never change
again. If you use the Insert > Date dialog (not the Alt+Shift+D
shortcut), uncheck the Update Automatically option to get plain text.
