Check the hardware manufacturer's web site for the latest Windows 2000

Hello,
Thanks thats good info. I will try that again. However,
this was once a perfectly normal system with all the same
components and the same 2000 cd . Up until that fateful
day when I clicked the windows updates icon and well there
is no more system to speak of. At the time I wrote my
original message the problemn was poor 16 bit graphics.
Now it wont start just cyckles endlessly fromthe beginning
screen to the welcome screen and back again. Junk. Trash.

You did a clean install of Windows 2000, and you expect it
to have loaded your previous video display drivers ??

I think he meant his previous installation, windows 2k
found a correct driver, so why not this time.

If you can boot, get to Windows Update - they may offer an
update to your existing video adapter.

Also, take of the shell, look at the motherboard - look at
all the chips write down the names. Search the names and
determine which is the video - download the driver. Easy.
