How to align several figures at once?

Hi,

I have inserted several figures into my power point slide. I hope to
align them all to their left edges at once. I don't know how to do it.
When I select every figure, the Format->Alignment->Align Left is grayed
out. I hate to type in each figure's exact position for the aligment
purpose.

I remember I can do this kind of task in Microsoft Word, but I am not sure.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi,

Use guides, they are 'magnetic' to objects. (View / Guides or Grid and
guides, depends on the version)

When using alignment make sure that the object to position to is the most on
the side you want to position to. So, when aligning left (to the object most
left), click all objects holding down the Shift-key so they are all
selected. Choose Format->Alignment->Align Left and they will align to the
most left.

Good Luck

Select all of the objects and then go to Draw > Align or Distribute > Align
Left. The Format > Align function is for aligning text within text boxes, but
it doesn't align multiple text boxes to one another.

The Draw toolbar is usually at the bottom of your screen. If you don't see it,
go to View > Toolbars and in the drop down menu check Drawing.

I have Microsoft Powerpoint 2000 and Microsoft Powerpoint 2003. I have
looked everywhere but I still cannot find "Draw -> Align" or "Distribute
-> Align". I don't know what is going on.
