How to add drop shadow

P

Paul Ostrof

I select the GIF I want to put a drop shadow on but the drop shadow
command on the drawing toolbar is greyed out. Am I doing something
wrong? How does one put a shadow on a GIF, anyway?

You do it in your image editing program. It is best NOT to use any of the
image capabilities that FP offers.... especially do not resize etc.

The drop shadow command I believe only works on drawings
done with the drawing tools.

Did you create the gif yourself? If you did, what program
did you use to create it? Depending on the graphic
program, there are usually options there for doing a drop
shadow.

I personally use XaraX, an inexpensive graphic program to
create gifs, pngs, etc. and it has a shadow function.
Good luck,

Ulead's PhotoImpact has the best drop shadow dialog box of variables I know
of. If you have PSP v.8 you can write a script.... or I could send you one.
