how to add distribution list created by other's to my contact list

Need to have the ability to share distribution lists created and shared in
our department to prevent duplicating work. Outlook has the option of
sending distribution list to other outlook users but there does not seem to
be a way to add that information to your contact or address book without
retyping each one. We want to use it as it is provided by department name
with each contact listed . Please advise if you know of a way to do this.

Any DL sent correctly can simply be opened and saved to place it in the
user's default Contacts Folder. Make sure it was sent as an Outlook Item in
an RTF message.

What is an RTF message? I want to share a distribution list with the people
who are on it. Can they just click on the name and enter it into their
contacts? We use Outlook Web Access. How do I do this?

OWA is not related to Outlook in any way. You can ask in an Exchange group
but I highly doubt it would provide such a function.
