Although you might already know this, there is no Microsoft supported way to
do this. The PID should have been entered into the Toolkit prior to the
build.

It seemed not make sense..
Because customer evaluate the xpe product for a few weeks.. and when he was
statisfied.. Engineer need to rebuild again with License key and re-do all
procedures again..
a little waste time..
Why MS don't think a way to activate the key after XPE was evaluated OK ?

Thanks.

What is the problem for your engineers to rebuid the same project? Hope you don't setup the XPe runtime mostly manually. Then you
lose all the beauty of XPe Tools.
It gets a bit harder because you have to first install non-Eval toolkit to be able to build non-Eval images (requires entering PID
anyway). But you would want to do that once anyway since Eval toolkit expires after 120 days.

First of all, providing a way to post-activate your XPe image makes it easier to hack the feature.
Also, keep in mind that "activating" XPe runtimes is OEM responsibility but not end user in contractory to regular XP. It has to do
with number and type of devices that are covered by particular license.

Also, activating XPe runtime is not just a matter of having it built with proper PID. You (asOEM) also obligated to put a sticker
somewhere on the device. Please read XPe legal docs that you signed more carefully.
