How to access shared folders on XP from 98 and ME

Hi
Can somebody come up with a good idea how to access shared folders on a
computer running XP home from other computer in the homenet running Win 98
and Win ME.
When I try to connect I am forced to enter password - have already reset the
password on the guest account on the XP box.
In the passwordbox the computer name is followed by "IPC$".
It's no problem to go the other way - access shared folders from XP box to
98 and ME.

Create a user with the same name (and password, if one is used) used to log
onto the Windows 98/WindowsMe computers using the User tool in the XP
Control Panel.

Hi, Richard. I think you missed the fact that Johan has XP Home,
which allows access by all users. Matching user accounts are only
necessary to allow access to Windows XP Professional, and only when
simple file sharing is disabled.

Johan, no password should be needed to access XP Home over the
network. Run the Network Setup Wizard on XP Home , but don't run it
on any other computers, even if it tells you to. That should fix the
problem.

If it doesn't:

1. Make sure that the Guest account is enabled for network access by
running this command:

net user guest /active:yes

2. Remove the network password from the Guest account:

a. Click Start | Run.
b. Type "control userpasswords2" in the box and click OK:
c. Click Guest.
d. Click Reset Password.
e. Click OK without entering a new password.

Sorry to tell you that I have no success after following your ideas.
History: My network consist of 3 PC, 2 ME and 1 98. There have been no
problem with the local network in the past. I have had passwords on each
computer.
One week ago I updated the main box to XP home - I run the network setup and
do the same on the ME and 98 box with a diskette - unfortnately - can it be
redone ? After that I can reach files on the ME and 98 from the XP, and
ofcourse also between the ME and 98. But the problem is that both the ME and
98 ask for password when I try to connect to the XP box.
Internet sharing, XP box have the Internet connection, is working without
problem.

Ideas ?

Your remote computers can easily be accessed using remote access
solutions like RemotePC (http://www.ibackup.com/remote_access_pc/). We
have been using it in our office and found it to be very safe and
consistent. It uses Internet and works across multiple Windows
platforms.
You can access your files and can even transfer data.
