Haha, I love it when you see old hardware items again! I had a 6MB EMS Expansion board (a crazy amount of memory at the time) - it took up the whole length of the case!

Did you use the 486 much recently?

no, been in the loft for years just thought i'd have a play! but the mobo's blown so it's going back in the loft.

i know a few people who still use these babies for loading programs into machines! why upgrade if you don't have to!

Yeah, we still use 486's sometimes at university when we are working with electronics or getting flight data. It can handle anything we need to run on it, as the stuff we are recording from may be 30 years old (i.e wind tunnels).

If the mobo hadn't blown, you should have tried to overclock it! Now that would have been interesting ;)

yeah it would have been! might go on a mission to find a new mobo, must have one knocking around somewhere.
