How tell if 97 running or 2000?

We have a system that was converted from Access 97 to
2000. However, some users could not run the 2000 version
(I don't know why) so now we have 2 versions running. I am
going to make a change to the front end that will
necessitate everyone converting to the 2000 version.
How can I instruct the users to determine which version
they have on their desktop? Its possible they could have
the 97 version on their desktop and be opening it with
Access 2000.
