How extract embedded Excel workbook from PowerPoint?

Lost a disk. Needed Excel workbook is embedded in a
surviving PowerPoint presenation. How can I export/save
the Excel workbook to a separate Excel file .. retaining
forumlae, etc. The only apparent option is cut-and-paste
and VB doesn't seem to work. ???

If you doubleclick the Excel object in PPT, it should launch the object
(data and all) in Excel if it's truly embedded.

From there, you should be able to either save (not sure on that one) or
copy/paste to another Excel workbook.

Bruce,
Right-click on the embedded worksheet shape and select Worksheet object |
Open.
This will open the excel workbook in a new Excel window.
Save it as a new workbook.
