I have created filter rules created to put in the mails in folders for
differen people and based on Subject. When i receive a new mail the mail
filter work properly. but not able to see the envelope icon in System Tray
for new incoming mail. Due to which i not able to know that the new mail has
arrived in my mailbox. This feature was already there in Outlook 2002. Where
is this setting for Outlook 2003

Open Outlook 2003, then:
1) Click on "Tools".
2) Click on "Options".
3) Click on ""Preferences" tab.
4) Click on "Email Options..." button.
5) Click on "Advanced Email Options..." button.
6) Go down to the "When new Items arrive in my Inbox" section.
7) Put a check-mark beside "Show an envelope icon in the Notification
area".
8) Click on "Ok" three times.
9) Restart Outlook 2003

Done!

There is no "setting" for this.

Outlook, by default, will only notify you of new messages that are delivered
to your Inbox. Because of your rule setup, these new messages are not going
to your Inbox and, therefore, you are not getting the notification. You MAY
be able to set up a rule to notify you of these messages but I'm not sure,
as I've never used rules.

6) Go down to the "When new Items arrive in my Inbox" section.

The OP's original post states that these messages are not going to the Inbox
because of rules that he's created to move them to different folders. That's
why he's not receiving any notification.
