how does word read documents aloud

i accidentally hit, i think it was the windows, alt and S keys at the same
time as i was sending mail using alt+s the pc then started to read aloud the
mail i sent. i have tried to replicate this without success.
can anyone tell me how this can be replicated?
i use word as nmy mail editor.

That procedure is so complex that I doubt it would be possible to get it
working "accidentally".
