How do you use Tap.exe on a device with NTE and no CD-ROM drive?

Hello. I'm quite new to XPE and embedded OS's in general, but I do have
a bit of a problem. I have a compaq t1010 I'd like to get XPE on, but
it already has NTE on it and has no cd-rom drive. I tried to put a
minimal dos setup on it so I could at least run ta.exe on it, but I
believe it has a VERY minimal bios because when I changed the boot.ini
file to choose between dos and Windows NTE, I could not get any input
from the keyboard. It's a tricky little piece of hardware, and if
anyone has any ideas of how I can get it to run TA or TAP.exe I'd
really like to hear them.

Does it support booting from an external USB CD Rom? If so, boot WinPE (the
first disk of the XPE toolkit happens to also be a bootable WinPE disk).

Evan,

And if it doesn't have USB, there is no rule that says you have to start
your XPe build from a device PMQ. If you have the specs on the hardware in
the system just pull those components and one of the startup Macro's from
the design templates category and try it out.

Unfortunately it doesn't support any of that. It only supports booting
rom it's integrated memory. I also tried manually finding information
out on the device (it's a thin client) and the support and technical
specifications are pretty hard to come by. So, if there is some way to
get something working (it has to be same partition too if it's done
localy on the client) I'm still all ears.
