how do you make a yes-no decision matrix

I’m trying to create a flowchart that has “yes-no†switch for each item. So
after making each box I can right-click it, and choose “yes†or “noâ€. It will
then automatically create a subordinate box in a different shape. I remember
this function in 2003 but I can’t find it in this version!

PPT 2003 didn't have anything like this. I mean, there are autoshapes you
can use to create a flowchart, or there's the Diagramming applet (Insert |
Diagram) with an organization chart and other diagram types (but no flow
chart), but there's nothing that will add shapes to your flowchart based on
you choosing Yes or No.

Are you sure this wasn't a third-party add-in to PowerPoint? Or perhaps you
were using Visio or something similar?

Nope, it was PowerPoint, used it last year. Regardless, that wasn't my
question; does 07 have this capability? It seems relatively simple. It
wasn't the adding shapes that were important. It just starts you with one
box, you type what you want, then click either "yes" or "no". a corresponding
box is generated and you can do the same with that box. You could also go
back and click the previous box and a different option and it would create a
new path. Easy, or so it seems.

btw, the automated E-mail I got informing me of the response to this post
led me to a dead link. I had to navigate the entire site to find this thread
again.

What should have taken 30 seconds has now become a 2 day ordeal, since I
“upgraded†to 07... but I guess Microsoft is used to hearing that…

Like Echo I would be pretty sure that what you describe isn't in any version
of PowerPoint. I wonder if you are refering to the Auto Content Wizard (not
that it would do what you describe)? This has gone in 2007.

You all are volunteers? Well in that case, thanks so much for devoting the
time to help me out. It's pretty selfless to answer people's questions all
day without compensation.

It was an office computer, so I suppose it could have been an add-on the
techies put in. But I could have sworn it was a PoerPoint 03 option. Ah well,
something for them to consider in '11.

thanks

You might see if SmartArt helps you get where you want to go. Insert tab,
choose SmartArt. You can change shapes in the diagrams, but it won't happen
automatically.

As for the link to this, if you sign into the website first, it should open.
I've reported this to MS before -- and I just reported it again. Sorry for
the hassle. Sucks, I know.
