how do you get access 2007 to show multiple windows on start bar

In Access XP you can get tables to open in multiple start bar windows, which
was great for when I need to be able to view several tables at a time. Access
2007 opens everything in the Access Window (shows up as just one overall
Access window on start bar). This is a real pain! How do you get Access 2007
to open each table in its own window like Access XP???

Click the office button and select "Access Options", click on "Current
Database" from the menu on the left and then select "Tabbed Documents".
That will show all of the open objects on tabs at the top of the page.

I just upgraded to Access 2007 and this was driving me nuts. This solution
helps a lot.

However, in earlier versions of Access each table opened in a separate
window that you could move between with Alt+tab. I like to use the keyboard
as much as possible and not being able to Alt+tab between Access windows in
the same database is annoying.

Any solutions to that problem?

Thanks,

Fritz

Have you tried Office Button > Access Options > Current Database >
Overlapping Windows?

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, tabs are not what I was hoping for
(it basically means having an excel type of setup where you have tabs and
have to use the mouse even more). In the last version of Access, each time
you opened a table, it shows up on your Windows start bar like a distinct
application in a distinct window; this has apparently been taken out of new
version. I'm also getting a "trust Center" prompt every time I open a mdb,
and my only options are a) tell it to unblock the content *every time*, or
b), just assume I don't want the content and block it for me without asking.
These "enhancements" are driving me nuts. Much prefer the older version of
Access... (on a similar vein, "Outlook has blocked access to potentially
unsafe attachments {because you are too stupid to make that decision for
yourself, Dave. And the new version of Outlook Express can no longer be used
to access those attachments I don't want you to have...}" also drives me
NUTS!)
