You used to be able to set a shadow on text, change the color, etc. How do
you do that in 2007?

You can apply Shadow formatting in the Format Font dialog, and you can also
change the font color there, but you can't can't change the color of the
shadow, if that's what you're asking. For that you'll need to use WordArt,
which can be formatted like any other AutoShape (which allows you to change
the size, position, and color of the shadow).

I'm trying to change the color of a shadow on an automatically formatted
WordArt. How can I do that? I don't see the option for the shadow in Format
WordArt.

WordArt uses the same controls as any other AutoShape. If you have the
Drawing toolbar displayed, you can use the Shadow Style button to open
Shadow Settings.
