How do you copy and paste a section of a downloaded Word Template?

I am trying to copy and paste a section of a downloaded Word Template, but it
will only copy and paste the text... What gives? Why won't it paste the
box/table too?

Is it possible to duplicate the page? I am used to layout programs like
Quark or Indesign where you can simply insert a page and company and paste
the entire page....

What can I do for this?
