how do you convert a picture copied from internet to jpeg

please could someone help me to convert a picture i copied from the internet
to jpeg

See http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm. But in this case
there is a much better solution. Go back to the page you copied the picture
from. Right-click on the picture and choose Save Picture As... Save it in My
Pictures or another convenient location. It will likely be a JPEG, but even
if it is a GIF or PNG, you're better off than by extracting it from Word.

That's the most thoughtless comment I've seen in a long time. You
accuse the OP, who is asking a simple (if insufficently detailed)
technical question, of a criminal act without knowing having one iota
of information. Even if the 'picture' they're talking about was
protected by copyright, they're are many situations where it's still
perfectly legitimate to make a copy.

Are you saying that it's illegal to copy pictures from the public
clip-art library, for instance?
