How do you cite APA format in to a Powerpoint slide?

I am wondering if I can after citing references in APA format insert the
references into the correct APA format? I have tried copy and paste but it
does not format the reference correctly in APA format. Can anybody answer
this question for me? Thanks.

What is the problem? Is it not maintaining italics when you paste, or is
there some other issue?

As the resident academic here, I'll have to echo Echo's questions. What
about APA formatting isn't working. My guess is that it has something to do
with the indenting, but please tell us the specific formatting problem, and
I'm sure someone can come up with a solution.

FWIW, I use RnR PPTools Shape Styles to format this kind of thing. I paste
in the ref from Word, then I use Shape Styles to apply the formatting but
leave the italics alone. Not sure if it would do indenting or not, but
Shift+Enter and an indent marker on the ruler might do the trick....
