How do you average the results?

Brand new to excel
I put together a chart that has my blood pressure measurements
How do you average the results?
How do you add all the numbers in each column automatically?
What books does anyone recommend - I need pictures and lots of examples : )

Never mind
I found it in the Help section of Excel.... I told you I was new
Example of what I wanted

=SUM(C3:C18)

=AVERAGE(D3:D18)

That's great that you were able to find the answer yourself.......ATTABOY!!!!.........as for more education in Excel, one of the best things you can do is to keep coming to this group and reading peoples problems and then reading every solution offered, and see the different ways that something can be done. Some topics of course will be over your head to begin with, so just pick the ones you understand, and soon you will be picking them all and eventually answering some yourself.........this is a GREAT place to learn..........
