How do I zoom slowly in and pan on a picture in powerpoint 2003?

I am making a 9/11 memorial for an organization. (Civil Air Patrol) Is anyone
familiar with the affects in documentaries and such where they will slowly
zoom in on the focal point and also pan through the picture? If so does
anyone know how to do that in powerpoint 2003? or if not what programs will
do that?

You want to add two effects that will run at the same time. A Motion Path
and an Emphasis: Grow/Shrink
