How do I use the PC Fax feature?

Hello,
I am writing to ask how to use the PC fax Feature in the
Win XP OS on a HP 510N system?
I have configured for Fax with the Fax wizard.
I have a Epson printer (only), Lucent modem, with Internet
access.
Do I need to purchase a fax machine that is Pc compatible?
Or is there something I am missing?
If I don't need an external fax how do I send a fax?

Hi Thomas,
Thank you for the input it helped immensely! The next
concern is for sending more than one page.
I have tried cut and paste into the note section of the
fax send feature, andthat sent one page the cover page.
The second attempt, I attempted via MS Word 2k pro. and
used the print to fax console, yet again in the preview it
only shows the one page and not the total 4 page document
(includes the fax cover page)
How do I get the fax console to accept and send the entire
fax.
PS this is time sensitive for a employment app. submission.

If you have all the pages to be faxed in a single word document, and
when you print to fax, as long as you do not choose to print "Current
page" or "Selected pages", then all the pages should be faxed. Are
you sure that you are checking the fax preview correctly? To view
multiple pages you need to click on a button at the bottom of the page
to see each page.
