How do I unprotect a password protected Word Form?

I just password protected a form in Word 2000. Now I want to make changes to
it but Word is not letting me access Unprotect in Tools nor the Forms
Toolbar. I know the password but cannot get back into my own document.
Appreciate any help!

Create a new blank document and insert the form. But see “WD2002: Can't
Unprotect Protected Form That Contains a Control Toolbox Controlâ€

This has happened to me a lot, i think that it is a word flaw. I
normally close all word applications and then reboot my system. Then it
normally lets me access the Protects lock on the tool bar as well as
the on in tools.

If this doesn't work, you could also try

1) Press F1, which will open the window help menu
2) You will see a little triangle pointer down on the top right hand
side
3) Hit that and select Protected Documents

This will open the side window for Protecting Documents which may help
with your problem.

Hope this helps

Thank you very much. I had tried inserting the form into a blank document
but it changed the formatting. I had seen the previous messages about
"Control Toolbox Control" but didn't realize that my form had used that
feature when I created it. Following WD2002 worked perfectly. THANK YOU
VERY MUCH.

Thank you for your help. I tried your first suggestion but it did not fix
the problem. I was able to fix it using Susan's 2nd suggestion. Thanks
anyway.
