How do I tur on and off the fn key?

G

GIGIO4

I seem to have clicked the "fn" key on and now I don't find the way to shut
it off. The "fn" associated keys keep turning up. For instance, the "I" key
turns into "5" as an "fn" key derivative.

Please help.

Thank you,

Carlos

Sounds like it may be stuck. Try giving it a few sharp taps.

There _may_ be a way to lift the keytops up on a hinge. If you can do
that, _blow_ (don't suck) any dust/dirt from the circuitboard that
appears (your computer store will sell you a can of compressed air for
doing that). (Don't blow with your mouth, you'll get it wet.)

On some keyboards the Fn key is a toggle - does pressing it again, switch it
off?

This is due to the fact that the digital lock is activated. To solve this,
simply press the Fn+Numlk or depending of the model, press the button or Fn +
Shift +Numlk

Else a reboot might help if none of the above did not do the trick.
